Wapiti Coat and support

I ordered a Wapiti Coat a few weeks back. The quality of the coat itself is fantastic, very warm and durable, exactly what I expected from Swazi. However, the sizing guide online was a bit off for me; I had to exchange it for a smaller size. The exchange process was smooth enough, but it did add a bit of a delay to getting the right fit. It would be great if the sizing charts were a little more accurate, maybe with more detailed measurements. Still, worth it for the coat.

Good jacket, fast shipping

I bought the Aegis Waterproof Jacket. It arrived quickly, took about 4 days to get to me. The jacket fit well and kept me dry. Happy with the purchase.

Great value on the Micro Shirt

I was looking for some new gear and saw the Micro Shirt. I always try to get the best deal, so I waited for a sale. When the end of season sale hit, I snagged it at a good discount. Shipping was standard, nothing super fast but not slow either. The shirt feels really well made for what I paid. Definitely felt like I got my money's worth, especially with the discount. It pays to watch for their sales.

Really liked the Tahr Ultralite

So, I finally got myself the Tahr Ultralite jacket and it's pretty awesome. I wore it out hunting last weekend, and it was super comfy and light. Didn't even feel like I had a big jacket on, which was nice. Kept the wind off me too. Overall, felt good about it.

Detailed thoughts on the Tahr XP

I recently purchased the Tahr XP and have put it through its paces. The ordering process was straightforward on their website; I found the product details helpful in making my decision. Shipping took about a week to reach my address in Texas, which was acceptable for international delivery. When it arrived, the jacket felt robust and well-constructed. I've worn it during a few cold, damp outings, and it performed as advertised, keeping me completely dry and warm. The hood design is particularly effective, offering good coverage without obstructing vision too much. My only minor point would be that the main zipper can be a bit stiff at times, requiring two hands to operate smoothly. Otherwise, the pockets are well-placed, and the overall fit allows for good layering underneath. Good piece of gear.

Anyone know if they do free shipping to Auckland? Planning to order a few things for hunting season.

L Laura Jackson 1 month ago
Pretty sure they offer free shipping for NZ orders over a certain amount, can't remember the exact number but it's not super high. Worth checking their site.

Yeah, they do. I got free shipping on my last order to Christchurch, just hit the minimum spend. It's usually automatic at checkout if you qualify.

how does Swazi compare to Stoney Creek for warmth and durability? I'm torn between the two for a new winter jacket.

J Jennifer 1 month ago
Swazi gear is seriously tough, probably a bit more hard-wearing than Stoney Creek in my experience. For warmth, the Swazi fleece is next level.

Both are good, but I find Swazi's waterproof stuff holds up better in really heavy rain. Stoney Creek is decent but Swazi feels more bombproof for extreme conditions.

Can you actually return stuff if it doesn't fit or if you just change your mind? Ordered a beanie that ended up being way too big for my head.

E Emma R. 1 month ago
Yeah, you can. I returned a shirt once because the color wasn't what I expected. Process was pretty straightforward.

As long as it's unworn and got the tags, you should be fine. Just follow the instructions on their site, I think you pay for return shipping though, afaik.

Hey, thinking about grabbing a Tahr Ultralite. How's the sizing generally? I'm usually a large but don't wanna get something too snug or baggy for layering.

A Amanda Phillips 1 month ago
I'd say they run pretty true to size, maybe a touch on the generous side so you can layer. Check their size guide, it's usually pretty accurate.

Yeah, I got a large in the Aegis jacket and it fits perfectly with a thermal underneath. You should be good with your usual size.

Are there any clearance sales happening now? Looking at getting some new bush pants but hoping to snag a deal.

M Michelle Brown 1 month ago
I saw some stuff in their 'outlet' section last week, mostly older stock but good discounts. Check there first.

They often have end-of-season sales. I'd keep an eye on their site, sometimes stuff pops up unannounced. Black Friday is usually good too, but that's a while off.
